The popular event "Pikachu Outbreak!", where Pikachu will appear in the Yokohama Minato Mirai area, will be held from August 6th to August 12th.

This year marks the 6th "Pikachu Outbreak! 2019," and a total of 2,000 Pikachu will appear all over Minato Mirai, the largest number to date.
With the entire Yokohama Museum of Art as its backdrop, Pikachus dressed in LED costumes will perform a light performance linked to projection mapping. Other performances will be set against the backdrop of the Yokohama Bay Bridge and the night view of the buildings shining in the background of the Minato Mirai green space. Don't miss the parade featuring Pikachu and Eevee marching along to the rhythm. Other fun events planned include a merchandise corner and a Pokémon digital stamp rally.

The overall production of Grand Mall Park is handled by the creative company mplusplus, which also handles technical direction. Pikachu's light performance will update the Minato Mirai night view.
In addition to M+Plus, who is the general director, this performance will feature famous creators, artists, and performers from various fields. For details on each participant, check M+Plus's social media.
