Stella McCartney has unveiled the "All Together Now" collection, inspired by the Beatles' animated film "Yellow Submarine."


Celebrating its 50th anniversary last year, the digitally remastered animated film "Yellow Submarine" depicts a psychedelic adventure through a colorful world that unites people through love and music, sending a message of "togetherness" that is as important today as it was when it was first released.

The collection's ready-to-wear pieces for women, men, and children feature scenes, motifs, and graphics from the film. In particular, knitwear and jerseys are embroidered with the slogan "All Together Now" in multiple languages, taken from a scene from the film. This message of togetherness is also reinforced on outerwear and shirting, with motifs from the lyrics "all you need is love" and "love, love, love."


For women, scenes from "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" are reimagined on dresses as a jacquard of colorful patchwork dancers, while washed finishes and flowing silhouettes create an effortlessly feminine feel. A dramatic Fur-Free-Fur jacquard coat depicts the Beatles in marching band uniforms, while a limited-edition monogram featuring a miniature Yellow Submarine motif takes center stage across the Alter Nappa Eclipse and Icon Bag and Falabella collections. For men, posterized pop art portraits of the Beatles are reimagined as bold patches on outerwear and graphic intarsia on knitwear. A full-length black coat is covered in individually embroidered patches that make eclectic celebratory statements.

The bold stripes on the Savile Row tailoring and the delicate feel of the trousers and jackets were inspired by the film's marching band uniforms.
Kidswear features playful Beatles graphics, vibrant colors and Yellow Submarine motifs throughout.

Staying true to the brand's commitment, sustainability is reflected in all three categories of the collection, and the message throughout encourages us to work together to protect our planet. Sustainable materials in the collection include organic cotton jersey, denim and, newly added, 100% recycled cotton Breton. The "All Together Now" collection is part of the Fall/Winter 2019 collection and is available for pre-sale at the Stella McCartney Aoyama store from July 13th. It will be available nationwide from July 19th.
