Each bookstore will act as a concierge, recommending "the book you should read now" to FASHION HEADLINE readers. Every Saturday, books will be selected by Shelf (3-7-4 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), a bookstore in Gaienmae, Harajuku, that specializes in foreign books.



■ "Figures of Speech" by Virgil Abloh

After studying architecture at university, Virgil Abloh served as creative director of Kanye West's creative agency "DONDA" before launching his own brand "OFF-WHITE c/o VIRGIL ABLOH™" and was subsequently appointed men's artistic director at Louis Vuitton.

This volume, published as a catalog for his solo exhibition held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago from June to September 2019, is divided into three parts. The first part of the catalog features color photographs of the works, as well as texts and interviews with Rem Koolhaas and Michael Rock.




The second part provides a tabular index of Abloh's diverse projects. The third part contains an extensive archive of photographs and idea sketches from Virgil Abloh's personal files.
