On June 12th, Givenchy unveiled a limited edition sneaker collaboration with Onitsuka Tiger at its show at the 96th Pitti Immagine Uomo, where the brand participated as a guest designer.

This marks the first time Givenchy has partnered with a global sneaker brand, and also the first time Onitsuka Tiger has worked with a luxury fashion brand. The project has been carried out in strict secrecy by a limited team from both companies, and was unveiled as a surprise at the show. The newly announced "MEXICO 66 GDX" sneakers are based on Onitsuka Tiger's iconic Japanese-made "MEXICO 66TM" model and have been reinterpreted by Givenchy's artistic director, Clare Waight Keller.

They come in two colors: black and white. The outside of the upper side features Onitsuka Tiger's characteristic dynamic "Onitsuka Tiger Stripe," while the inside features the bold lettering of the "GIVENCHY" logo, and the heel flap features a design featuring the double names of both brands.

Each is priced at 65,000 yen, and both variations went on sale from June 13th, the day after the show, at Onitsuka Tiger Omotesando, Ginza, and Namba stores, as well as Givenchy's Omotesando, Isetan Shinjuku, and Umeda Hankyu stores, and the newly launched Givenchy official LINE store. The LINE store can be accessed from the Givenchy official LINE account (http://bit.ly/givenchy_press).
