Giorgio Armani unveils new 72-meter megayacht in collaboration with Italian Sea Group

Feb 15, 2023
On the evening of February 11th, the 72-meter "Admiral" mega yacht by Italian Sea Group and Giorgio Armani was finally unveiled at an exclusive private event held at the Italian Sea Group headquarters in Marina di Carrara, Italy. The project, which was launched in 2020 by designer Giorgio Armani and his team in collaboration with the Admiral Style Center, combines the DNA of both brands to create a one-of-a-kind avant-garde mega yacht, truly representing the most exquisite meeting of nautical and fashionable elements.

This yacht is the first of two designed entirely by Giorgio Armani, and its beautiful, instantly recognizable Armani style is evident in both its exterior shape and interior. "Timeless minimalism," which has always been part of the designer's creative philosophy, elegantly redefines the concept of a high-end mega yacht, down to the smallest detail, based on the principles of simplicity and refinement.

The exterior, with its strong architectural influences, is a captivating design that meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail. Large, sharp, geometric volumes are exquisitely balanced with curvaceous, soft forms, creating a majestic yet dynamic ensemble. The effect of the large, full-length glass openings within the room allows natural light to blend seamlessly into the lighting and surroundings, and the amount of light can be adjusted simply by skillfully adjusting the position of the sliding panels.

The Armani/Casa interiors amplify Giorgio Armani's aesthetic philosophy, offering understated, sophisticated luxury and a subdued palette. The bold yet relaxed interior décor combines a variety of elements to create a harmonious and unique space. Minimalism is contrasted with exquisite, high-quality materials, exquisite handcrafted finishes, and a blend of soft and vibrant colours.

Giovanni Costantino, Founder and CEO of Italian Sea Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sea Group to the Italian Sea Group.

"This megayacht is the result of a collaboration with an exciting partner, of whom I am extremely proud. It also confirms our ability to realize unique projects with exceptional Made in Italy brands that share our values. Giorgio Armani is synonymous with timeless elegance and refinement, and his style vision has sharpened our own. This new yacht will become a stylistic benchmark, having received countless comments and reviews from various industry professionals. This is the epitome of our business model: customizing every detail to make each yacht absolutely unique, in line with the vision and wishes of each owner."

Meanwhile, Giorgio Armani, Chairman and CEO of the Armani Group, said:

"The sea and design are two of my greatest passions. I have extended my ideas for furniture and interior décor to the nautical world, where, like fashion, aesthetics and functionality come together effortlessly and elegantly. The craftsmanship in the selection of materials, details, and manufacturing allows Armani/Casa to create customized spaces—just like creating a bespoke garment."

The yacht is scheduled for delivery in early 2024.
