The film "Skate Kitchen" will be released at Shibuya Cine Quinto and other theaters nationwide from May 10th.



"Skate Kitchen" is based on the short film "That One Day," which was released as part of Miu Miu's short film project "Miu Miu Women's Tales" in 2016 and garnered attention worldwide. It is a coming-of-age film that explores the reality of the New York skate scene and the friendship and bonds between female skaters. It received rave reviews at last year's Sundance Film Festival and has won film awards around the world, making it a film that is currently attracting attention.

Camille, a shy 17-year-old skateboarding enthusiast living in the suburbs of New York, meets an all-female skate crew called "Skate Kitchen" and, despite her mother's objections, becomes absorbed in skating. Through skating, she meets a mysterious skateboarder and falls in love, but realizes the difficulties of building a relationship with him. The film depicts the growth of girls from diverse racial backgrounds as they learn about the lives of women in a male-dominated world and the importance of camaraderie and self-discovery.
