Kim Gordon is a visual artist and founding member of Sonic Youth, the experimental rock band formed in the US in 1981 and a central figure in the grunge movement. She is also a member of the collaborative band Free Kitten. She also had a major impact on the fashion industry, launching the fashion brand "X-girl" in the 1990s and popularizing girly culture. The autobiography covers the birth of Sonic Youth, album reviews, her final stage performance, the film "The Last Days," the founding of "X-girl," and fashion shows in Japan.
