The event "NORDIC WORDS & CRAFTS from DENMARK", curated by independent magazine "a quiet day", will be held from April 10th to May 9th at Daikanyama T-SITE and Daikanyama T-Site Bookstore in Daikanyama, Tokyo.


"a quiet day" is an independent magazine that interviews and edits a close-up look at the inner lives and minds of Nordic creators. Since its launch in December 2015, it has continued to publish multiple times a year.

The event will focus on Denmark-based creators who were met through interviews. Focusing on the relationship between the words of particularly memorable creators and the products they create, the event will offer curated products for sale that express the individuality of each creator.


Items for sale include the "PROLOG cup," a collaboration between Prolog Coffee Bar, home to 2019 Danish Barista Champion Jonas Sebastian, and Oh Oak, a ceramic artist from Bornholm, Denmark, making its Japan debut; "Sindroms," a Danish magazine published primarily by members formerly involved with lifestyle magazine "Kinfolk"; notebooks; and art products. The lineup aims to give a glimpse into the minds of creators through their objects and words.

Back issues of "a quiet day" will also be available for sale at the event.
