MUJUS, a brand that sells marble accessories made from "seed" material, will open pop-up shops at Isetan and Matsuya

May 9, 2015

Jewelry brand MUJUS will open pop-up shops at Shinjuku Isetan and Matsuya Ginza. MUJUS is an accessory brand known for its colorful use of unique materials. It was founded by designer Paola Delagado, driven by her passionate desire to contribute to her native Peru. The brand's name, "MUJUS," comes from the Aymara language, the official language of Peru's indigenous people, meaning "seed." The brand offers items made with tagua palm seeds harvested in the Amazon rainforest. Tagua seeds are hard and polished to a lustrous shine, creating a characteristically clingy feel. Their light weight makes them comfortable to wear, even with their large designs. The unique marbled colors are achieved through plant-based dyeing. The lineup includes necklaces (¥10,000), earrings (¥3,500-¥8,000), and bangles (¥6,000). The shops will be open from May 11th to May 19th at Promotion 1 on the first floor of Shinjuku Isetan, and from May 20th to May 26th at Space of Ginza on the first floor of Matsuya Ginza.
