The second collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Marc Newson, the Horizon Soft wheeled luggage, will be available at Louis Vuitton stores and on the official website (louisvuitton.com) from March 29th.
This innovative luggage features an outer shell made of jacquard 3D knit featuring Louis Vuitton's signature Monogram on both sides. Two types, "2R55" and "4R55," are available. The knit fabric is made using a specially developed seamless knitting technique using custom-made technical yarns with elasticity and thermoplasticity. The bag is also water-repellent. Pockets and zippers use tape instead of stitching, and are heat-welded for a minimalist design with as few elements as possible.
Horizon Soft 2R55 (¥291,000)
Weighing just 2.9kg, it's carry-on compatible. The external handle, covered in cowhide leather, also fits within international flight size restrictions. Despite this minimalist design, ample internal storage space is ensured thanks to an external telescoping handle, similar to "Horizon," the first luggage collection designed by Marc Newson and launched in 2016.

"After working on hard luggage, which had many design constraints, we embarked on the second stage of our journey with soft luggage. I needed to identify the right technology to give this project legitimacy; in other words, I needed a good reason to start the project. It was more of a process or technique than a technology, something I'd become familiar with through the various projects I've worked on, particularly the process of knitting." (Marc Newson)
