FENDI, a luxury brand representing Rome, Italy, will relocate and reopen one of Japan's largest flagship stores, "PALAZZO FENDI OMOTESANDO," in Omotesando, Tokyo, on February 11, 2023. The new flagship store, designed by FENDI's architecture department, will carry the entire FENDI Universe collection for both men and women, recreating the magnificent atmosphere of Rome in Omotesando.

The striking façade is a modern, urban reinterpretation of the classical architecture of Rome, the Eternal City, where the brand's roots lie. A geometric diagonal design in stainless steel and the iconic signature arch reminiscent of Fendi's Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, home to the brand, are highlighted by 15 LEDs and adorn the distinctive central glass window. The store's sloping facade adds a contemporary vision to the existing architecture.

The interior expresses Fendi's codes and dualist tradition, as if playing with materials. Rough concrete columns and beams are accented by luxurious touches of marble, champagne metal and steel, and lavish plush carpets.

The 855-square-meter flagship store spans three floors: one basement level and two above ground. The first floor will stock leather goods and accessories from the women's collection, as well as playful lifestyle accessories such as board games, and the children's collection. The second floor will feature ready-to-wear and shoes from the women's collection, as well as the finest furs, and home decor from FENDI CASA, Japan's first concept store. The basement floor will feature the full lineup of the men's collection.

The current Fendi Omotesando Store (3-5-30 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku) will close on January 29, 2023, after which it will offer Roman luxury in a newly renovated store.
