"FLOWER GARDEN 2019" has become a symbol of spring in Yokohama and will be held at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse from March 29th to April 21st.
This year marks the 13th anniversary of the event, and the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse will celebrate its 17th anniversary of reopening in April with approximately 8,000 flowers and greenery. Experience the early arrival of spring at a venue enveloped in the colorful and scented flowers!

This year marks the 160th anniversary of the opening of Yokohama Port, and the venue is themed around a "flower garden with a harbor view," offering plenty of photogenic spots to enjoy both the Port and the flowers! Here are four must-see spots.

① Flower Entrance with a Heart-Shaped Arch
A large, pink heart-shaped arch welcomes you at the entrance to the venue! Take a closer look and you'll see adorable flowers like daisies, nemesia, and snow vines. Smell their sweet fragrances, too.
② Topiary Area for a Stroll Through Nature
Beyond the entrance, a garden brimming with plants spreads out on both sides of the road that leads straight toward Yokohama Port. Look for the 17 topiary figures scattered throughout the garden, each with an animal motif, such as bears and rabbits. ③ Cafe Area: Enjoy Menus Made with Edible Flowers
Inside a glass tent is a pop-up store of HANABAR, a renowned shop known for its edible flower menu. Enjoy food and drinks on the spot. The cookies are so romantic they're almost a shame to eat, so be sure to take them home as souvenirs.
④ Margaret Hill Area: A Field of Pink Flowers
This flower field, with a 7-meter-tall symbolic tree made entirely of pink margarets towering in the middle, is a great photo spot! Enjoy a view of the flower field stretching out against the backdrop of Yokohama Port, a sight you can only see here.
The entire venue is lit up from 6:00 PM (until 11:00 PM). Enjoy a fantastical atmosphere, completely different from the daytime.
HANABAR, a cafe and bar run by Japan's first dried flower specialty store in Ikebukuro, will be appearing at the event! In a space decorated with dried flowers, you can savor food sprinkled with edible flowers, allowing you to fully enjoy flowers with all five senses. We'll introduce you to some must-try menu items, including HANABAR's popular flower cocktails and food made with photogenic flowers that can only be enjoyed at the event.
