To celebrate the launch of LOUIS VUITTON's Spring/Summer 2019 women's collection, a special digital installation will be displayed in the show windows of 12 Louis Vuitton stores around the world, including the Louis Vuitton Omotesando store and the Matsuya Ginza store, from February 23rd.

This special installation, created by artist and designer Es Devlin under the artistic direction of Nicolas Ghesquiere, projects the future of each of the 12 store locations: Tokyo, Milan, Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing. The video changes in real time, transitioning from day to night, like a gateway to a different city.

The video playing in the window was created by Mike Winkelmann, also known as "Beeple," an American artist featured in the Spring/Summer 2019 collection.

"We find ourselves in the midst of the Anthropocene—a new geological epoch with profound implications—and have never been more in need of communion with people of a future we cannot imagine. Every decision we make will affect the streets they walk and the air they breathe. Louis Vuitton's windows become a network, enacting a process of new visions of the future as they are conceived as portals to other places and time zones," says S. Devlin.
