tac:tac pop-up "walk-in" is currently being held at N id in Shibuya

A tac:tac pop-up "walk-in" is currently being held at Nid, a select shop in Shibuya, Tokyo.

The concept of the look visuals for tac:tac's Spring/Summer 2019 season is a solo journey. Starting at Haneda Airport, the first look, the visuals visit iconic Tokyo tourist spots such as Sensoji Temple, Tokyo Tower, Tsukiji, and Ameyoko.

The title of the current pop-up, "walk-in," resonates with this visual concept and refers to visiting a hotel directly and signing up for a stay or service without a reservation.

The pop-up space, bathed in orange light, exudes a sense of relief that relieves tension, as if you've returned to a lodging facility after a trip. Visitors can enjoy the space by picking up and putting on Taktak clothes with their cloakroom tickets hanging from them, occasionally looking at the photos hanging on the wall, listening to the music, and relaxing as if they were in a hotel lobby. As you sit down, you suddenly notice a cigarette-shaped snack called "Cocoa Cigarettes" placed in a heavy glass ashtray in your hand. An antique lamp, lit as if floating through the space, evokes memories etched over time.

The shop's layout was created by Takutaku designer Shimase Takaaki, pattern designer Shimamura Kodaita, and architecture and space designer Yamaya Akihiro. The look visuals were shot by photographer Hanabusa Ryo. New item visuals for the season, also shot by Hanabusa Ryo, are also on display at the venue.

In addition, during the event, purchasers will receive a limited-edition leather necklace engraved with a number from 1 to 100, reminiscent of the cloakroom tickets used at hotel cloakrooms, as a gift.

The pop-up will run until February 15th. Experience the world of Takutaku in this special, one-off space.
