Brooklyn-born “fashion” and “beauty” Items at BBFL Tokyo

All of the products at BBFL Tokyo are curated in the country (some brands are only available at the Tokyo store). The selection is the same as at the Brooklyn store, and some brands can only be found here in Japan.


SDN is a Brooklyn-based apparel brand made from organic cotton and fabric scraps. Items like T-shirts with innovative patterns and bold artwork prints are fun to browse.

Using leftover fabric from the production process, three artists have upcycled clothing for sale and exhibited. Based on ethical principles, the exhibition promotes the concept of slow fashion from Shinkiba.

PLEINSOL is a brand based in Brooklyn. Their products are made from soft organic cotton, and the buttons are made from natural materials such as coconut.


Brooklyn also offers a wide selection of accessories with a variety of designs.





In the beauty section, the lineup includes "Love of shea," a cosmetics brand created by two sisters from Africa, Nabou and Una, and "Morphologically," which studies aromatherapy and specializes in essential oils.


Japanese brands have also been selected, including "kiito tokyo," which focuses on natural materials and unique Japanese colors, and "MARapelar," which uses organic ingredients and is in tune with the mechanisms of the female body.

Going forward, they plan to continue planning new products and events, as well as holding workshops, with a focus on sustainability, in collaboration with Japanese companies and artists. "We hope to spread the Brooklyn lifestyle from Shinkiba, spread the spirit of sustainability, and make BBFL Tokyo a place where various artists can work," commented staff member Goto.
