Hosonuma Chie, a stylist who works for advertisements and various fashion magazines, will be holding a pop-up event at Herside in Harajuku, Tokyo from January 11th to exhibit and sell miscellaneous goods she encountered on her travels in Africa.
Hosonuma visited Africa on a trip last year and experienced the lives of the people and their cityscapes, and through her interactions with them, she became deeply captivated by the bold textiles and vivid, colorful miscellaneous goods that exude an exotic atmosphere. At the event, she will draw inspiration from the local area and propose styles that will uplift your spirit by incorporating vibrant colors into Japanese fashion and lifestyles.
The lineup includes pouches and tote bags made from fabric purchased in Sierra Leone, as well as stylish accessories, hair combs, and colorful buckets and watering cans to brighten up any room.
These items have been carefully selected from faraway African cultures through her own lens. Don't miss this opportunity to experience them for yourself.
