Limited edition items were released to commemorate Valentino's 2019 Pre-Fall Collection show, held in Tokyo on November 27th. An installation will be on display at Valentino Ginza until December 9th.
The items released included more than 70 different items, including T-shirts and tote bags from the "VLTN TKY" capsule collection; T-shirts, hoodies, and pouches from collaborations with UNDERCOVER and DOUBLET; the "MANGA" collection featuring five characters associated with Valentino; and reinterpretations of Japanese traditions, including yukata, hanten, geta sandals, fans, and vinyl umbrellas.
The "MANGA" collection features butterflies, tigers, dragons, snakes, and panthers, motifs that were frequently used by brand founder Valentino Garavani at the time, reimagined as anime-style characters, and includes a variety of items such as bags, sneakers, badges, pass cases, tote bags, and caps.
