On May 20th, L'Artisan Parfumeur will release its new fragrance, "Rose Privee" (50ml 15,000 yen, 100ml 23,000 yen). To coincide with this, a collaboration menu inspired by the fragrance will be available at the organic cafe Rose Bakery Ginza (7th floor, Ginza Komatsu West Building, 6-9-5 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) from May 20th to June 30th. "Rose Privee" is a fragrance created by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour and his apprentice, Stephanie Bacouche. It was created as an homage to the Rose de Mai (May Rose), a precious rose that is a symbol of Grasse, France, the holy land of perfumery, and can only be picked in May. The fragrance begins with floral aromas of violet leaves and lush basil. Next, the core notes of Rose Privée—carnation, magnolia, and lilac—gently blend together, while the final notes are a deep chypre accord and hay, leaving a fresh yet dynamic impression. In collaboration with Rose Bakery, a variety of pastries inspired by Rose Privée are available. The lineup features subtle rose aromas and a moderate sweetness enhanced by the tartness of berries and salty nuts, including "Rose Panna Cotta with Almond and Pistachio Tuile," "Raspberry and Blueberry Pavlova with Rose Cream and Raspberry Sauce," and "Ricotta Cheesecake with Fruit Salad and Rose-Flavored Yogurt." Just like the fragrance, the menu allows you to fully enjoy the harmony of the ingredients.
