Louis Vuitton releases new "Silver Lockit" bracelet designed by Sophie Turner

Release Date:2018.11.20
Nov 20, 2018
As part of its partnership with UNICEF, Louis Vuitton will release a new Silver Lockit bracelet designed by actress Sophie Turner on November 20th, International Children's Day.

To continue fulfilling its commitment to LOUIS VUITTON for UNICEF, Louis Vuitton commissioned British actress and friend of the House to design a special Silver Lockit bracelet. Inspired by Turner's idea of good luck, the bracelet features a red and white braided cord and a round rabbit charm, matching the design of Turner's latest tattoo. "The bracelet is meant to bring good luck to those in need. It's important that people all over the world work together - UNICEF works globally and Louis Vuitton is synonymous with "travel". Red is considered a lucky colour in China and white comes from the rabbit that is featured in the round charm on the bracelet. White rabbits and their feet are believed to bring good luck in many parts of the world," says Sophie.
Silver Lockit Sophie Turner (36,000 yen)
With the purchase of the Silver Lockit Sophie Turner (36,000 yen), $100 will be donated to UNICEF for each product sold to support children in vulnerable situations, including the refugee camps in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.

Since the launch of the Silver Lockit in 2016, more than $5 million has been donated to UNICEF through this partnership. With UNICEF's support, the Government of Bangladesh has vaccinated 900,000 children and adults against cholera and prevented more than 263,000 children from malnutrition. Inspired by the tumbler lock invented by Georges Vuitton in 1890 to protect precious possessions, the Silver Lockit design is a true symbol of protection and a testament to the Maison's commitment to supporting children in urgent need.

Available at the Louis Vuitton official website (www.louisvuitton.com) and approximately 160 Louis Vuitton stores worldwide.
