CPK Gallery, located along the Sumida River in Tokyo's Taito Ward, will be holding a special exhibition titled "OPEN CLOSET" from October 20th to November 9th, featuring six groups of designers and artists.

A closet is a place where clothes are kept and housed. This exhibition will be themed around the theme of "a new closet," and designers and artists will be showcasing their own "new closets." The venue, CPK Gallery, opened this spring by Nippon Copack Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of hangers, mannequins, and fixtures for apparel, as a gallery that considers "how to display clothes" and a place to communicate fashion from a variety of angles. Participating artists include Nishio Takeshi of DAYS, who designs a variety of spaces and products; interior artist StudioBOWL, who creates store interiors, fixtures, and objects using a production style that combines different materials; Toyama Sho of ATELIER matic, who designs art pieces using acrylic and resin, spatial installations using light, and window displays; HYOTA, a design studio that produces advertising, magazine prop styling, and event production with spatial design as its core; Okawahara Nobuhito, a sculptor from Kagawa Prefecture; and clokee, an interior goods brand specializing in clothing-related items, with the theme of "living with clothes."
Is it a functional storage method, a show-stopping interior, or art?
Each of the six designers and artists will express their "new closet."
