The "Shima Kosaku" series, a bible for businesspeople, began serialization in 1983 and is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. To commemorate this milestone, the "Shima Kosaku Festival" will be held at Hajimari Cafe on the 7th floor of the main building of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store from October 24th to November 5th.


This event, a collaboration between Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store and Shima Kosaku, will feature limited-time commemorative merchandise. In addition, a special menu will be available, developed in collaboration with Minatoya, a restaurant in Toranomon that appears in the series and is beloved by fans as a sacred place for the manga. The exhibition corner will feature a special exhibition of the precious original drawings from the first and latest episodes, plot plans known as names, and the tools actually used in writing.

On the first day of the event, October 24th, author Hirokane Kenshi will be in attendance to hold a talk show. In addition, Sakurai Hiroshi, Chairman of Asahi Shuzo Co., Ltd., will join the talk show as a special guest, and there will be exclusive talk about Shima Kosaku x Dassai, as well as a Dassai tasting.
