The OFS gallery inside OUR FAVOURITE SHOP in Shirokane, Tokyo, will be holding "around Lake Biwa vol.3 Playing" from July 21st to August 12th. There will also be an event on July 22nd where you can enjoy coffee and sake.


"Around Lake Biwa" is a special exhibition that introduces the appeal of Shiga's activities by grouping them together using "verbs." This third exhibition, titled "Playing," introduces two scenes of "sound" that add richness to life. HORA AUDIO, a craft audio manufacturer in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture, aims to create audio equipment for music lovers under the theme of "conveying the warmth of music." They handcraft every step of their musical instrument-like wooden horn speakers. Glass artist Mami Tokizawa, who established her atelier and gallery "Kotosen" in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, creates unique works using a variety of glass expressions by creating blown glass bases and then carving, polishing, and patterning the surfaces, will be presenting their works from their own unique perspectives. On July 22nd, from 12:00 to 18:00, we will be holding a one-day cafe event entitled "Kissa Mono KIKOF," where you can enjoy Omi tea and Japanese sweets served in KIKOF tableware while listening to music played from HORA AUDIO's "MONO" speakers, which are characterized by their natural and lively sound. You can immerse yourself in the music of records selected under the theme of "Playing Summer" or music you bring with you, and enjoy a refreshing moment like the breeze blowing over Lake Biwa. No reservations are required, and the venue is limited to 30 people.
Also, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the venue will change its atmosphere to "Sake Dokoro Nomokikof," where you can enjoy music selected by composer Kaitaro Abe, who has composed music for a wide range of genres including stage, television, and film, along with Shiga's local sake, Shichihonyari, and other Shiga specialties served in KIKOF sake bottles and sake cups.
