The hotel will be a "Two Brand One Operation" that combines two brands: "Okura Heritage," the newly established top brand of the Hotel Okura Group, and "Okura Prestige," which operates hotels mainly overseas. "Okura Heritage" is a luxury hotel brand filled with dignity and elegance that inherits the culture and historical heritage of the country it is based on, and its concept is to allow guests to spend a blissful time in a majestic atmosphere that breathes the slow passage of time and in hospitality that embodies the essence of Hotel Okura.
Positioned as a special hotel that operates these two brands, Hotel Okura Tokyo will make a new start as "The Okura Tokyo."

Hotel Okura Tokyo opened in 1962 with the aim of "not imitating overseas models, but creating a uniquely Japanese hotel with global appeal." To achieve this, the hotel has adopted the "Best A.C.S." slogan, pursuing the best accommodation, cuisine, and service, and has welcomed distinguished guests from Japan and abroad for approximately 55 years.

The development concept for the new hotel is "tradition and innovation." While preserving the traditional Japanese beauty embodied in the former main building, the hotel has been renovated with the latest facilities and functionality. The design concept, "Simplicity & Elegance" (clean, elegant, and refined without being overly flashy)—a concept that the Hotel Okura Group has always valued—is the foundation for welcoming guests in the finest facilities. Furthermore, by further refining the cuisine and service that the hotel has cultivated over the years in line with changing times, the hotel aims to become even more popular with distinguished guests not only from within Japan but from around the world.

Guest Rooms at the Okura Prestige Tower G.A. DESIGN INTERNATIONAL LIMITED
The hotel consists of two buildings to better define the distinctive features of its two brands. The high-rise "Okura Prestige Tower" will be a contemporary luxury hotel that blends the vibrant sophistication of Tokyo with a touch of Japanese culture. To allow guests to fully enjoy views of Tokyo, Okura Prestige brand rooms will be located on the 28th floor and above. The international hotel will also feature a traditional Okura restaurant and a large banquet hall, one of the largest in Tokyo, capable of accommodating large-scale international conferences. Meanwhile, the mid-rise "Okura Heritage Wing" will be a one-of-a-kind luxury hotel crafted with the essence of Japanese beauty. While many luxury hotels in urban areas in recent years have also incorporated offices, the Okura Heritage Wing will focus on spacious Okura Heritage brand guest rooms, the Japanese cuisine restaurant "Yamazato" that embodies Japanese culture, and the teahouse "Choshoan." This will ensure the hotel's independence as a hotel that preserves Japanese beauty while also serving as a guesthouse for distinguished guests from Japan and abroad. Reservations for accommodation will begin in April 2019.

Sky Chapel KANKO KIKAKU SEKKEISHA
On the 41st floor, the top floor of the Okura Prestige Tower, is the Sky Chapel, with windows overlooking Tokyo Bay on two sides and letting in soft sunlight. The space, composed of white marble that creates the feeling of floating in the sky and glass screens meticulously embossed with natural plant patterns, creates a bright, gorgeous, and special atmosphere for a milestone wedding ceremony. Additionally, the building's 7th floor also houses another chapel, the Grand Chapel, and a shrine. The Grand Chapel's stained-glass walls feature custom artwork evocative of the garden's scenic beauty, while amber glass pendants on the ceiling create a contrast with the warmth of the all-wood paneling. The balance of classic and elegant, created by UK-based GA International, creates a memorable and elegant atmosphere perfect for celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime wedding. The shrine, constructed entirely of cypress, features doors with a phoenix motif inherited from the former main building and carpet featuring a tangerine motif, symbolizing eternity, creating a space symbolizing the bond between the bride and groom. Other wedding-related facilities are also located on the same floor, making it highly convenient. Reservations for banquets and weddings will begin in September 2018.

The architectural design of this building was jointly undertaken by six companies, with Taisei Corporation's Design Division serving as design supervisor. With a view to preserving the traditional Japanese beauty cultivated by Hotel Okura and passing it on to the next generation, Yoshio Taniguchi, son of Yoshiro Taniguchi, who designed the lobby of the former Hotel Okura Tokyo main building, is in charge of the design of the two hotel lobbies, dining facilities such as the Japanese restaurant "Yamazato" that embodies the Japanese atmosphere, and Okura Square.
