July 1985, London. While rock stars big and small were shining bright in Wimbley, Stephen Marriott was preparing to take the stage in front of a group of drinkers in a dimly lit pub in Putney. Feeling frustrated and consumed by alcohol, he waited for the rest of his band. At that time, Steve's spirit is rekindled when he meets a young mod.

Active from 1965 to 1969, the Small Faces achieved success in the UK as a leading mod band, rivaling The Who. This film is set in a rundown music pub in July 1985. Steve, a key member of the band's founding, disbanded the Small Faces at the height of their popularity, saying, "I don't need fame."
