Cotogoto, a Japanese handicraft and lifestyle goods store in Koenji, Tokyo, is hosting the "Basket and Strainer Exhibition: Summer Tools Made from Natural Materials" event from July 20th to August 7th, bringing together baskets and strainers from all over Japan.

Now in its third year, the exhibition brings together baskets and strainers of various shapes, sizes, and materials from all over the country. Over 150 types of summer tools will be on display, including cool bamboo basket bags, strainers, and storage baskets that are perfect for summer.

Scenes from last year's "Baskets and Strainers Exhibition"

This year, we're offering a more comprehensive lineup than last year, with new brands and items. New items include bamboo baskets and strainers from Oita Prefecture's "Shochikudo," rush baskets from Okayama Prefecture's "Sunami Toru Shoten," bamboo baskets from Saga Prefecture's "Kuriyama Shoten," and bamboo cutlery from Oita Prefecture's "Kai Nobuo Kobo."

In addition, the Akebia baskets from Shizuoka Prefecture's "Järvi," which were available two years ago, will be making a reappearance, and Tokyo's ever-popular "Ichikawa Shoten" and "Matsunoya" will be exhibiting different baskets and strainers from last year.

These natural tools are useful not only in the summer but throughout the year, and with careful use they can be used for a long time. Why not find your favorite at the "Baskets and Strainers Exhibition."
