As part of its 70th anniversary project, Moncler is announcing the Moncler Maya 70 collaboration, a series in which seven designers reinterpret the iconic Maya jacket. The first of these, the Moncler Maya 70 by Palm Angels by Francesco Ragazzi, will be released on October 15th.

The entire piece is coated in luminous fiber optics and features the Palm Angels logo on the back and an 8 Moncler Palm Angels felt patch on the chest, creating a radiant look.

"I never stop thinking about the future. I find it fascinating to imagine, and to predict what will happen next. My desire with this project is for it to be "more than a down jacket; it shines like a source of light when you switch it on," says Francesco Ragazzi.

On choosing Elsa Hosk for the advertising campaign, Ragazzi adds, "Elsa perfectly embodies the future and light, and I believe this image represents both her essence and my approach to the Moncler jacket."

Francesco Ragazzi Profile
Milan-born Francesco Ragazzi is an art director and photographer with a Master's degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York. He started Palm Angels in 2011 as a photographic documentation of LA skater culture. A book was published by the art publisher Rizzoli in 2014, and a clothing collection was released in 2015. Palm Angels brings an Italian edge to American culture and subculture, combining an understanding of sartorial codes, a love of fabric, and a penchant for using clothing as a symbol of identity and cultural signifier. Palm Angels is an essential vision, and behind it are real people.
