Classic jeans are loose and baggy. A masculine style is the key this season [Paris Snap]

Oct 14, 2022
Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023 took place from September 26th to October 4th. Celebrities, including Korean stars, visited each brand's venue, and Kanye West, also known as "Ye," made for eight days of entertainment and buzz. While attendance from China and Russia remained low for off-runway shows, industry figures from other countries gathered. Styles embodying this season's trends energized the entire city!

At Men's Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023, held in June, jeans dominated the runways of each brand. Perhaps influenced by this, casual, masculine jeans styles dominated this season's off-runway shows. While jeans remain a wardrobe staple regardless of the season, silhouettes and styling appear to be updated for a more modern look.

emma / Model

Model Emma, who rushed over from Japan, took part in a show for a major fashion house. Spotted outside the Chanel venue, she sported a mannish style in a short jacket and high-waisted straight jeans. The tube top underneath adds a touch of healthy exposure, which is very on-trend!

Sarah Harris / Deputy Editor-in-Chief, British Vogue

No matter when you see her, Sarah is always seen wearing jeans in a chic way. This season, she's wearing washed tapered jeans worn slightly low on the waist for a relaxed look. She wears a high-quality cashmere turtleneck from The Row. The muted black and grey tones embody the idea of "less is more."

Alexandra Karl / Stylist

Alexandra, a stylist based in Scandinavia, arrived in a long buggy that hung on the floor. She tucked a T-shirt and knitwear into jeans. Her oversized jacket was also geeky and masculine, but the bright red heart-shaped bag from Maison Alaia was the highlight, completing her jeans style that stood out from the rest.

Leia Sfes / Art Director

Leia Sfes, who appeared as a model in Chanel's Cruise Collection this year, is a Paris-based art director and mother of two. She casually downplayed her sequined tweed coat with baggy jeans. Like Emma, showing off her waist with a cropped top gave the look a fresh finish.

Extra Edition
Jeans are a timeless item that transcends time. This season, not only have they seen a shift to more relaxed silhouettes, but we've also seen a lot of denim-on-denim styling.
