Miniskirt schoolgirls take the off-runway scene by storm! What are the tips for styling them without looking too sweet? [Paris Snap]

Oct 14, 2022
Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023 took place from September 26th to October 4th. Celebrities, including Korean stars, attended each brand's venue, and Kanye West, aka "Ye," even made an appearance on the runway, making for eight days of entertainment that was sure to generate buzz. While attendance from China and Russia remained low off the runway, industry professionals from other countries gathered. Their styles, emblematic of this season's trends, energized the entire city! The biggest trend for Fall/Winter 2022 was the miniskirt! Industry professionals were spotted enjoying a fresh, revealing look in above-the-knee miniskirts, reminiscent of Twiggy in the 1960s. A new 21st century miniskirt style, pioneered by Miu Miu and Chanel, is coordinated with long socks and a classic dress shirt for a schoolgirl look!

Yoshimichi Brothers / Influencers

Influencer Yoshimichi Brothers arrived at the event wearing Miu Miu runway looks. Under their cut-out, raw-edged shirts, they showed off their underwear, featuring the brand's logo. A sweet and spicy mix of a pleated miniskirt and socks for a schoolgirl look, topped off with a menswear-inspired leather jacket is the latest style.

Mika / Model

Mika, a world-famous model with half Japanese and half French parents, is making a big splash on the runway this season as well! Her casual outfit is a velvet miniskirt with a bold paisley pattern, paired with socks and rain boots. The oversized knitwear from Ami Paris tucked casually into the waist of the skirt adds to the effortless vibe.

Linda Toll / Businesswoman

Linda, based in the Netherlands, is a businesswoman who runs an eyewear brand and a cafe. She pairs Chanel's iconic tweed sweets with long warm socks, creating a look that is both youthful and mature. She wears a simple white T-shirt underneath the jacket, creating a relaxed look that makes a nice impression.

Eugénie Troche, who was appointed head of Vogue France last year, also showed off her beautiful legs in a schoolgirl-style look. The biker jacket adds a touch of spice to the outfit, keeping it from being too sweet, giving it a modern feel. Deliberately loose socks were also a styling point seen frequently off the runway this season.

Extra Edition
There are countless ways to wear mini-length clothes, such as wearing them as shorts instead of a skirt, or pairing a mini skirt with thigh-high boots. The mini-length trend, which has been seen on many runways this season, is likely to continue.
