The Thousand Kyoto is scheduled to open in front of Kyoto Station in January 2019. A new wedding brand, MASHIRO, has been launched, proposing a style based on the concept of a "personal comfort hotel" that allows guests to experience Kyoto's rich knowledge, unlike anything seen before in Kyoto.

Behind the sliding doors resembling snow-viewing shoji screens at Banquet Studio Sen, one of the venues, is a small garden that evokes the changing of the seasons. The space offers a luxurious experience with a Kyoto-style setting, including a carpet with a cobblestone floor and kumiko motif, and a ceiling decorated with Japanese paper.
