Kawachi Art Supplies will be opening a pop-up shop, "Draw Your World Exhibition," at "y gion" in Gion, Kyoto, from June 28th to July 12th. In addition to new original products, they will also be releasing limited-edition collaboration products with Scye.

Kawachi Art Supplies debuted in 2017, inheriting the original name of the art supply store "KAWACHI," which was founded in 1920. At the event, they will be selling six new fluorescent colors of the popular "BIG OIL PASTEL," as well as original acrylic paints made with the utmost care.
In addition to art supplies, there will also be original Kawachi Art Supplies T-shirts produced by Sai, based on original documents from the founding of the original "KAWACHI Art Supplies" store, and featuring the work of Kyoto-based graphic designer Ryu Mieno and painter Daijiro Hama. The two up-and-coming young artists have each given the old documents a modern interpretation in their own unique style. There will also be a limited edition collaborative painter's coat between Sai and Kawachi Art Supplies, which has the functionality of a painter's coat but is also finished as a fashion item with Sai's designs and patterns.
During the event, there will be a "Draw Your World Art Supplies Lab" corner where you can freely try out paintings and doodles using the store's original acrylic paints and art supplies carefully selected by the store. The rooftop will feature a "Sour Garden" by Sour, pioneers of fruit chuhai. In addition, Kyoto's legendary udon restaurant, Manju, will be open for lunch only on Saturdays and Sundays, while Munto Shokudo, beloved by Kyoto artists, will be open for special weekend nights.
On weekends, there will be live painting events featuring artists, along with music, food, and drinks. On June 30th, DJ and producer Tomoyuki Tanaka (FPM) will join as a special guest, adding excitement to Daijiro Hama's live painting. In addition, on July 1st, live painting will be performed by simo (WHOLE9), with DJs SHIOTSU and YOTTU as DJs. On the 7th, live painting will be performed by OT29 and DJs Sintaro Fujita/seQuence. On the 8th, live painting will be performed by Ryu Mieno and a married couple. Each day starts at 6 PM, and a separate entrance fee applies.
In addition, from July 13th to 16th, Scye Mercantile in Sendagaya, Tokyo will also be selling a limited edition painter coat and original T-shirts in collaboration with Scye.
