Isetan Men's curated pop-up "The COAT" opens. Focus on the main item for autumn and winter: the coat.

Event Date:2022.10.05-10.18
Sep 29, 2022
The COAT, a curated pop-up at Isetan Shinjuku Men's, will be held at the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building from October 5, 2022, in a promotional section on the first floor. The COAT will showcase coats from a variety of perspectives, teaming up with various designers and brands. The value of classic pieces is being reassessed due to changing mindsets—avoiding mistakes, wanting to wear quality pieces for a long time, and choosing versatile clothing—so the focus will be on coats, a key item for fall and winter. The COAT will redefine "classics" and "men's masterpieces" through both past archives and new releases, showcasing next-generation classics and masterpieces. In addition to offering five specially commissioned items from domestic and international brands, including Paul Stuart and Aquascutum, the event will also offer new value in coats across three categories.

NEXT VINTAGE

Based on the theme of "clothes that retain their timeless appeal even as trends change over time," we asked five designers and directors to create "NEXT VINTAGE" coats that will remain as vintage pieces 20 or 30 years from now. This lineup of coats was created based on this idea. This lineup features fresh yet timeless "Next Vintage Coats" created by cutting-edge designers who are well-versed in classic styles and skilled at expressing them in a modern way.

Coat 181,500 yen
An adaptation of their signature wrap coat, this piece features an airy A-line design with button closures. In addition, Donegal tweed has been chosen for the fabric, achieving a fusion of traditional British style with a modern, relaxed feel.

Coat 198,000 yen
*Pre-order (Delivery: scheduled for mid-November)
Inspired by military coats from the 1940s, the "Daniel" features a more sloping shoulder, creating an elegant silhouette. This special order item combines Shetland Melton material, creating a garment that fits the body better the more you wear it.

Coat 242,000 yen
The charm of this coat lies in its unusual use of materials, mixing a hard white wool called "kempi" with black tweed. The more you wear it, the more the kempi and tweed blend together, developing a grayish color. The shape is a relaxed fit reminiscent of the 1940s.
