The Louis Vuitton 2019 Cruise Collection show, held recently in the south of France, featured bags and charms featuring animal motifs, such as cats and dogs, and has been generating a lot of buzz.
These items are part of a special accessories capsule collection created in collaboration with Grace Coddington, former creative director of American Vogue and Anna Wintour's right-hand woman. The creation of the collection was inspired by a love for animals. Grace has two cats, Pumpkin and Blanket, and Nicolas has a dog. According to Grace, their love for animals is what connects them more than just fashion.
Items unveiled at the show included chain bags and charms shaped like cats and dogs, as well as a bag featuring cat and dog motifs frolicking on Louis Vuitton's iconic monogram. The capsule collection will be available at select Louis Vuitton stores starting in October.
