A special handmade bike event, "BESPOKED JP - Bicycles Tailored to Look Like Suits," will be held for two days on May 5th and 6th at the newly opened "MANSEI BRIDGE FREE MARKET" at marché ecute Kanda Manseibashi in Tokyo's Manseibashi district.

The former Manseibashi Station, built during the Taisho era, was a modern red brick spot where all kinds of people came and went. A new style of flea market, "MANSEI BRIDGE FREE MARKET," will open in a corner of marché ecute Kanda Manseibashi, a renovated version of the former Manseibashi Viaduct. Participation at the market is free, with people looking to sell their own unique items, share their unique experiences, or come as a group of friends or enthusiasts, rather than as individuals. People of all styles gather at this market to sell something, buy something, discover something new, or meet someone.

"BESPOKED JP - Bicycles Tailored Like a Suit" is a special event that serves as a gateway to the world of handmade bikes, where you can order a bike that's just the right size and features original paintwork. The market will bring together the next generation of Japanese builders and painters, who are attracting attention.
The exhibitors include Above Bike Store, a bicycle workshop located at Futako-Shinchi Station on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line that offers one-stop service from frame production to assembly; CORNER, a bicycle frame brand from Sokawa Garage, a workshop in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture that mainly produces frames for road racers and cyclocross bikes using chromoly; and Shin Hattori Seisakusho, a small bicycle factory in Aichi Prefecture that produces simple and functional bicycle frames using chromoly and aluminum.
Other bicycle-related stalls are planned, including CYCLE CLOAK, which operates a bicycle parking space that can be used when your bike is out of sight as a form of hospitality for people coming to the event by bicycle; ripa, a Saitama company that makes bags designed to be easy to carry; Charin Coffee, a mobile coffee stand that puts all your tools in a messenger bag, loads it onto a cargo bike, and serves coffee wherever you go; and Bonsai Bicycle Shop, a bicycle shop with an attached cafe in Sendagaya, Shibuya Ward, which will be offering recommended coffees before and after your ride. Charin Coffee and ripa will only be open on May 5th, and Bonsai Bicycle Shop will only be open on May 6th.
It will be an on/off saddle party with the opportunity to order, test ride, shop for merchandise, and show off your bike. Whether you're a cyclist or not, why not take this opportunity to experience the world of handmade bikes?
