A memorial photo exhibition for the late photographer Kate Barry, Jane Birkin's eldest daughter, will be held at BOOKMARC, a bookstore run by MARC JACOBS, from April 9th to 15th.


Kate was a highly acclaimed and highly anticipated figure, known for her sharp sensibility and innovative compositions, and she died in December 2013 at the age of 46 by jumping from her Paris apartment, sending the city into mourning. This memorial exhibition, which has since been held mainly in Europe, will now be coming to Japan for the first time. A limited edition exhibition catalog (3,500 yen) of 500 copies, printed in high-quality black and white offset, specially created for this Japanese exhibition, will also be on sale. An opening reception will be held on the evening of the 8th, inviting Charlotte Gainsbourg, the singer and actress's sister.
