Exquisitely crafted miniatures of sweets! The first solo exhibition of the acclaimed miniature artist Satoshi Tanaka will be held in Ginza

Event Date:2018.04.27-05.27
Apr 2, 2018
The Pola Museum Annex in Ginza, Tokyo, will host the first solo exhibition of miniature artist Satoshi Tanaka's work, "Face to Face: Closer," from April 27th to May 27th.

9mm Tall Jam Set

A peek into the work reveals a miniature world meticulously crafted with Satoshi Tanaka's sensibility.

"Tiny little pieces of happiness that fit on the tip of your finger. Adorable enough to make your heart flutter at first sight." "May this become a place where lots of tiny little happiness and smiles are born." These tiny, 1/12 scale creations were created with these wishes in mind.

When you see the baked baked goods, Danishes and colorful sweets that look like they've just been baked in the shop, you'll find yourself exclaiming, "So cute!" and "Looks delicious!"

18mm diameter tart

In addition to food, Tanaka also creates everyday objects, such as miscellaneous goods and spaces, with delicate textures that resemble the real thing. His playful spirit is evident in his handwritten lettering and displays. The perspective that Tanaka sees, hears, and feels adds to the charm of his miniatures.

A new piece, the "POLA Shop Mini Counter," will also be featured in this exhibition. Be sure to check it out.
