Professional tennis player Venus Williams was born on June 17, 1980, in California, USA. She turned professional in 1994 and made her Grand Slam debut at the 1997 French Open. She reached the final of the US Open that same year, but lost completely, garnering attention for her performance. She has achieved the remarkable feat of winning 44 singles matches on the WTA Tour, including 21 doubles matches with her sister, Serena Williams. In 2007, she launched the fashion brand "ELEVEN," and in 2010, she became active as a fashion designer, appearing at Ralph Lauren events and designing her own apparel for matches.

Eleven was temporarily suspended in 2008 when the apparel company that operated the brand went bankrupt, but was relaunched in the spring of 2012 as "ELEVEN by Venus Williams."
