Haco/sow, a gallery and store opening in Urayanaka, will hold a "Two-Person Exhibition" featuring Itoshima-based ceramic artist Takasu Kentaro and woodworker Sakai Wataru as its opening exhibition from March 24th to April 1st.

Haco/sow is located in Urayanaka, a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area, passing through Yanaka Cemetery and surrounded by shops like Ueno Sakuragi and Kayaba Coffee. Jointly operated by Yanaka design office "HUB a nice day!", creative studio "SELF," which creates works based on the concept of Japanese sensibilities, and local real estate company "House Support," the space is located in a renovated tenement house built in the early Meiji era and recently used as a dry cleaner, in a corner of an area where local residents and tourists intersect.

From its independently curated gallery projects to the occasional select shop "Sow" and community gatherings through food events, the space will communicate with and promote the local community through an approach not found in existing gallery spaces.

This opening exhibition will explore the contrast between ceramics and woodworking while experiencing high-quality design, deepening your understanding of each technique.

Enjoy the atmosphere of Itoshima and the worldviews of these two artists.
