"Archive Store," a shop featuring a selection of rare archives from COMME des GARÇONS and Maison Margiela, will open in Jinnan, Shibuya, on March 7th.


In recent years, attention has been focused on the classic works of designers such as Raf Simons, Maison Martin Margiela (now Martin Margiela), and Helmut Lang. These pieces continue to shine with time, escaping the constant stream of fashion consumption and value renewal. The Archive Store was born from the idea that a place to gather these precious "archives," which do not fit the concept of vintage and are different from art, is necessary for the future.

The store features a lineup of designers' precious past pieces, such as a 2003 Dior Homme Napoleon jacket, a 2003 Raf Simons custom bomber jacket, a 1999 Maison Margiela Artisanal collection dog tag necklace, and a Maison Margiela invitation plate.

In addition to carrying brands such as Tiffany & Co. and Yohji Yamamoto, the store regularly hosts pop-up events. Planned events include events featuring specific brand archives and special exhibitions curated by various brands.



From March 7th to March 31st, an exhibition will be held featuring masterpieces from the "Artisanal" collection, which most strongly reflects Margiela's philosophy on clothing and fashion. The collection, bearing the numbers "0" and "0 10," features special pieces that were reconstructed after each vintage and antique piece collected from around the world was disassembled and meticulously examined. Furthermore, because each piece is handcrafted, production numbers are extremely limited, and the process to complete each piece takes an immense amount of time.
