adidas Originals will release a collaborative collection with Hender Scheme, a Tokyo-based footwear brand created by Ryo Kashiwazaki, titled "adidas Originals by Hender Scheme," on March 16th.


Approximately six months have passed since the first collaboration, which paid homage to three iconic models from the adidas Originals archives and debuted in Fall/Winter 2017. This time, the collaboration continues to draw on classic models - the SUPERSTAR, MICROPACER, and NMD_R1 - while taking a new approach. The three items, while maintaining the identity of Hender Scheme, bridge the gap with the original adidas Originals models.

Until now, Hender Scheme's "manual industrial products" have used vegetable tanned leather and have only been available in two colors: natural nude or all black. For this collaboration, the brand returns to the three previous models that used traditional vegetable tanned leather, but takes on a multi-colored color palette for the first time with coloring inspired by the original models.


The "MICROPACER HS" (¥58,000) comes in silver with red and blue accents, while the "NMD_R1 HS" (¥60,000) features a black base with blue and red accents, faithful to the original models that captivated sneaker fans worldwide.

The "Superstar HS" (¥55,000) features a black upper with the iconic three stripes. Three models from three different eras in Adidas' illustrious history are reinterpreted in a context closer to the originals through colorways.


This is one of the most exciting collaborations in adidas' history. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail and unwavering craftsmanship, this timeless shoe features a fully repairable nailed sole and a leather upper that gradually ages and develops a unique character with wear.
