The Caravan, a mobile outdoor hotel that travels from east to west and north to south with the concept of "enjoying Japan's four seasons and seasonal flavors," will be reopening on April 7th with some changes to its services.

The Caravan is a service that proposes a new way to enjoy the outdoors, closer to nature than a resort hotel, yet more hotel-like than glamping or camping.
The new service will have three major changes. First, guests can now choose whether or not to enjoy free-flow drinks, so that even non-drinkers can enjoy the experience. Also, check-in time will change from 11:00 to 1:00-3:00 PM (lunch will no longer be served). Finally, guests can enjoy activities unique to each location, which vary depending on the venue.
  The Caravan in Stone Temple
The Caravan in Stone Temple
The first installment of this year's "The Caravan" kicks off in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, where visitors can enjoy a landscape reminiscent of a stone temple. In mid-April, as the cherry blossoms bloom, guests will set up camp at the "Roadside Station Utsunomiya Romantic Village," where they can also enjoy hot springs. This itinerary offers a fun and child-like experience for adults, including a tour of the naturally occurring underground lake at the "OHYA UNDERGROUND" and dinner at a unique mine. For dinner, enjoy a meal made with plenty of seasonal Tochigi ingredients.

During Golden Week, the tour will be held in the foot of Mt. Fuji, surrounded by the fresh greenery of the surrounding countryside. Located adjacent to Asagiri Food Park, where you will be staying, you can enjoy a luxurious and relaxing time in a secret grassland that is normally off-limits, offering an unobstructed view of the mountain's base. Before dinner, enjoy a stroll through the vineyards before the flowers bloom at a winery tucked away at the foot of the mountain. This tour allows you to experience both the well-known Mt. Fuji and the lesser-known charms of the foot of Mt. Fuji.
The Caravan in Shinshu's Ayers Rock
The Caravan in Shinshu's Ayers Rock
In late May, with the early summer in the air, the event is held at Uchiyama Ranch, a grassland with a spectacular view of Mount Arafune in Shinshu. Mount Arafune is a 1,423m-high mountain that straddles Shimonita Town, Kanra District, Gunma Prefecture, and Saku City, Nagano Prefecture. Its flat summit and steep cliffs are said to have been named after the mountain's resemblance to a ship cutting through rough waves. From the ranch, the mountain looks just like Ayers Rock. Enjoy the magnificent scenery, the refreshing highland breeze, and a variety of delicate dishes made with Shinshu's abundant ingredients, all under a starry sky.

The Caravan, set in early summer before the rainy season, is set in Yura Town, Wakayama Prefecture, also known as the "Aegean Sea of Japan." It's called the Aegean Sea for its captivating white rocks and blue ocean. The breathtaking scenery, so stunning it feels like you're overseas, is a luxurious sight unique to this place. The sun sets over the coastline, and the white rocks sparkle divinely in the light. At night, a starry sky shines. No matter what time of day you choose, the scenery is picturesque. At dinner time, a fishing boat cruise is available to view the venue, Shirasaki Marine Park, from the outside, before leading you to a specially set up dinner venue. Dinner will feature exquisite dishes made with Wakayama's abundant mountain and sea produce, using miso and soy sauce, which are said to have originated in Yura Town. You can enjoy a special one-night-only dining experience, exclusive to The Caravan, where you can witness the flavors of the season, local specialties, and the chef's masterful skills.
Reservations for each venue are being taken on the official website (http://wonderwanderers.com/). Venues from July onwards will be announced on the official website as they arrive.
