UNIQLO has announced a global collaboration with Tomas Maier, "Tomas Maier and Uniqlo," scheduled for release on May 18th.
In early summer 2018, UNIQLO's first full-scale resort wear collection will be available in UNIQLO stores worldwide and on the UNIQLO online store, with both men's and women's lines. Tomas Maier is a US brand that combines casual yet high-quality designs with lifestyle-based designs. The brand philosophy of "time off - liberation of the mind, liberation from time" is combined with UNIQLO's expertise, including a commitment to high-quality materials and superior technology and functionality.
The colors and designs are inspired by Florida, the home of the Tomas Mayer brand, and include "sun-kissed" colors such as orange and yellow, as well as Tomas Mayer's iconic palm tree motif that appears on various items to create a summery mood.
Designer Tomas Maier commented, "The Tomas Maier brand concept is 'liberation.' In this collection, we were able to express that concept together with the wonderful people at Uniqlo, utilizing their technology and know-how. Through this collaboration with Uniqlo, I sincerely hope that more people will enjoy everyday wear that allows them to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax both body and mind."
