The 19th World Fountain Pen Festival, a fountain pen festival bringing together over 20 domestic and international brands, will be held from March 14th to 19th at the event venue on the 7th floor of the main building of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. Over 1,000 types of writing instruments will be on display. 

This year's theme is "Edo Patterns," which combine the history of fountain pens and Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. Various brands will be releasing limited edition fountain pens exclusive to Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store.
In addition, there will be an event where Ishimaru Osamu, the ink blender nicknamed the "Color Magician" at Sailor Fountain Pen, will create his own original blended ink (reservation required), a fountain pen doodle experience with fountain pen artist Sato Hiroshi (reservation required, participation fee 2,160 yen), and workshops such as making your own original fountain pen using polymer clay FIMO (reservation required, participation fee 3,240 yen), as well as maintenance, demonstrations and talk shows.
