It has been announced that "Dogo Onsen x Mitsukoshi Isetan x Makoto Kagoshima's Yukata" (tentative title) will be a special exhibit at the Dogo Onsen Art 2018, a major art festival held at Dogo Onsen in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture. Ceramic artist Makoto Kagoshima will create a new design inspired by two locations: Dogo Onsen and the Ginza district, and will create an original "yukata" using traditional dyeing techniques. Yukatas will be available for purchase at a pop-up shop at Ginza Mitsukoshi starting May 16th. During the Onsen Art event, they will also be available for rental at hotels and inns in Dōgo Onsen, allowing visitors to wear the original yukatas while touring the hot springs and art exhibition space.
