"Spotify Connect" allows you to use the Spotify app as a remote control to play music directly from other devices, such as compatible audio equipment, car stereos, TVs, game consoles, and the popular smart speakers.

Spotify Connect is a feature that allows you to stream music directly from other devices using a Wi-Fi network. Unlike Bluetooth connections, it offers higher sound quality.

As mentioned above, your smartphone is just a remote control. Since music is streamed directly from your device, it conserves your smartphone's battery.
3. Take calls while listening
Since music isn't played on your smartphone, calls won't interrupt your music.

The following conditions must be met before use:
- To play on a speaker, receiver, or TV, first connect all devices to the same Wi-Fi network.

To play from your desktop
1. Click the "Connect to a Device" button in the bottom right.
2. Select the device you want to play from the device menu.
Playing from a smartphone or tablet
1. Tap the now playing bar while a song is playing.
2. Tap connectable devices at the bottom of the screen.
3. Select the device you want to play from the device menu.
The Connect icon and device name will appear in green in the now playing bar. You can control it from the Spotify app.
