Natural cosmetics brand Shiro will release new products from its 2018 Spring Collection on March 8th.

"Mint Ginger Lip Butter" (¥3,800 each) boasts beautiful color payoff while also serving as a lip balm, gloss, and lipstick.

The classic nuanced type now comes in four new colors: Navy Blue, Mocha, Sheer Orange, and Cassis Red, offering a lineup of colors that can be layered for fun. The debut matte type comes in four colors: Mode Beige, Coral Orange, Red Orange, and Rouge Red. It's as light as a soufflé, yet durable and highly pigmented. It moisturizes while leaving a semi-matte finish.


The skincare series introduces "Sun Care Lotion" (50ml/¥6,800) and "Clear Skin Oil Serum" (30ml/¥9,000).

"Sun Care Lotion" is a new type of lotion-type sun care product that is gentle on the skin even when worn for 24 hours and does not need to be washed off. It was inspired by the white color of onions. The extract is made from the outer skin of domestically produced onions, and the active ingredient in the skin, quercetin, has antioxidant and UV protection properties, moisturizes the skin, and acts as a filter to absorb UVA and UVB rays on the skin surface. In addition to tomato, which has antioxidant properties, it is formulated with plant extracts and oils such as shea butter, rose laurel, and royal jelly protein to thoroughly protect the skin from UV rays.


"Clear Skin Oil Serum" was created specifically for clear skin. By carefully selecting and combining moisturizing oils like jojoba seed oil and almond oil, and skin-conditioning plant extracts like rice bran extract and althea root extract, it inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase, which causes blemishes, and reduces melanin synthesis and pigmentation, resulting in radiant, clear skin.


The brand also opened its first New York store, "shiro West Broadway," on January 30th. It will stock products made entirely in Japan, including skincare, cosmetic collections, and fragrances.
