The Instagrammable "Blue Cave Shibuya" illuminations have evolved into a movie-worthy event and are back again this year

Event Date:2017.11.22-12.31
Nov 27, 2017
Last year, Shibuya's "Blue Cave" illuminations were a popular Instagram mecca. This year, the event will be upgraded to a movie-worthy spot, the "Blue Cave," featuring moving lights, from November 22nd to December 31st, stretching from Shibuya Koen-dori Street to Yoyogi Park's Zelkova-lined street.

The moving lights appear once every 30 minutes along the 300m stretch of Zelkova-lined street. Random flashes, flashing lights, and rippling lights create a watery effect, with the lights reflecting off a glossy mat on the ground, creating a truly "Blue Cave"-like effect. Following on from last year, the popular photo spot will also be at the entrance to Yoyogi Park's Zelkova Avenue (on the Shibuya side).

In addition, in collaboration with Yoyogi Park, the "Blue Cave Blue Parks" will be open for a limited time, serving drinks such as coffee and mulled wine that are perfect for the cold season.
