This exhibition will feature the first-ever display in Japan of puppets actually used in filming, as well as model sets and related materials from the time. There will also be a section showcasing famous scenes from the film with stills from the film, and a section comparing scenes from the film with Tove Jansson's original novel, allowing visitors to enjoy the unknown world of Moomin puppet animation. In addition, over 300 types of Moomin goods will be on sale, including original exhibition goods such as a "mug" (1,620 yen including tax), an "original smartphone ring" (1,782 yen including tax), and a "mini bottle of biscuits" (1,404 yen including tax), all made specifically for the exhibition, as well as pre-sale items such as the "Moomin x Steiff collaboration plush toy" (41,040 yen including tax).

"Moominvalley and the Winter Wonderland," which will be released in theaters from December 2nd, is the latest in the puppet animation series, following "Moominvalley Summer Festival" and "Moominvalley Comet." This series is a feature-length film that has been re-edited and digitally remastered from the short TV series that Tove Jansson herself supervised during production from 1978 to 1982, and which she described as "her favorite work." Set in wintertime Moominvalley for the first time in the series, the film depicts the Moomins' first Christmas, as they normally spend the winter hibernating.

Advance tickets for the exhibition are on sale until November 27th at Yahoo! Pass Market, Lawson, 7-Eleven and Family Mart. A combined advance ticket for the "Moominvalley and the Winter Wonderland x MOOMIN Puppet Animation Exhibition" (1,800 yen, with an original postcard as a bonus) is on sale at Ticket Pia.
