The film "Eileen Gray: The Solitary Designer" is now showing at Bunkamura Le Cinema from October 28th.

This documentary film, which was produced in parallel with "Le Corbusier and Eileen: The Villa of Memory," beautifully chronicles the untold story of the modern architecture master Le Corbusier and Eileen Gray, the only female architect whose talent he is said to have envied in his lifetime. It explores Eileen's life and work. Directed by Marco Orsini and starring Mary McGuckian and Jennifer Gough.

With her uncompromising vision and adventurous spirit, and her brilliant talent in the fields of decoration, design, and architecture, her work has captivated not only Le Corbusier, but also many other creators, including Yves Saint Laurent and Jacques Doucet. This documentary explores Eileen's life, from her childhood to her death, revealing a veiled portrait of her, who continues to be at the forefront of her time and influence various fields even after 100 years. It features her works from that time, as well as interviews with people involved and researchers. Admission is 1,500 yen, with a 300 yen discount available upon presentation of the ticket stub from "Le Corbusier and Eileen: Villa of Memories."
