On November 16th, ISSEY MIYAKE launched limited-edition items for the holiday season. The theme for the 2017 holiday season is "FLORIOGRAPHY," featuring corsages (6,000 yen) and earrings (10,000 yen) made with ISSEY MIYAKE textiles. Using the brand's original "Steam Stretch" material, which transforms into a three-dimensional form when steam is applied to a pre-woven piece of fabric, the pieces represent imaginary flowers that do not yet have a meaning. The collection features four different flowers, ranging from graceful designs like a blooming rose to pure designs like a lily. The colors available are feminine pink, chic silver, and a vibrant gold, exclusive to the brand's official online store and street-level stores. The included message card, which folds into a wrapping sheet to encase the flowers, is printed with short phrases such as "DO YOU REMEMBER?", "WARMTH," and "SUNSET." You can circle your favorite words and connect them to write your own message. Why not express your feelings to a loved one that you normally can't put into words by sending them a warm "single flower" along with a message card with your own "flower language"?
