Louis Vuitton's traveling exhibition "SEE LV," which began in 2020, has now reached its fourth port of call in Tokyo, after visiting major cities around the world in 2021 and 2022. This exhibition, which combines selected historical archives from the Maison's Heritage Collection with the Maison's latest creations, allows visitors to explore the world of the Maison through an immersive digital experience.
As Japan's capital, Tokyo has continued to develop and is now one of the world's largest cities, home to approximately 14 million people. It serves as the center of Japan in various fields, including politics, economy, and culture, and has created new attractions in addition to its historical and traditional tourist destinations. It is a city that continues to disseminate cutting-edge culture and attract people from all over the world. It is only natural that Tokyo was chosen as the destination for the "SEE LV" exhibition in 2022.
Visitors are greeted by a portrait of founder Louis Vuitton in his younger days, created by artist Refik Anadol using AI (artificial intelligence) technology. The first room then takes visitors back in time to an exhibition room showcasing carefully selected women's and men's ready-to-wear collections. Exquisite 19th-century dresses are displayed alongside trunks from 1906, evocative of the House's longstanding connection to fashion. Visitors will be captivated by Louis Vuitton's most iconic bags, from the Steamer Bag to the Speedy, Noé, and Twist, as well as wall-to-wall photographs of global celebrities, including House ambassadors Alicia Vikander, Emma Stone, Takanori Iwata, and Suzu Hirose, as well as Kōki, Sakura Miyawaki, and YUTA (NCT 127). The next exhibition room brings together Louis Vuitton products that contributed significantly to the development of luggage typology, from the iconic Wardrobe Trunk to the Skateboard Trunk, the 1920s Car Trunk, and the tent-transforming raincoat from the 2020s Louis Vuitton 2054 collection. There's also an interactive exhibition room where you can experience the Maison's iconic Monogram.
This five-themed exhibition brings together exceptional collections of contemporary looks, early 20th-century trunks, collaborations between the Maison and artists, and iconic leather goods.

Discover Louis
In this exhibition room, you can discover a 20-year-old Louis Vuitton, depicted using artificial intelligence (AI) by Turkish digital artist Refik Anadolu. Louis slowly emerges from a collection of one million images capturing the Jura region, the land where he was born in 1821, nearly 200 years ago.

Welcome to the world of Louis Vuitton fashion. Discover recent looks by Virgil Abloh and Nicolas Ghesquière. They succeed Kim Jones and Marc Jacobs as Artistic Directors of Men's and Women's, respectively. We explore their achievements through iconic looks from their first and most recent shows at the House. Louis Vuitton's Fashion department was founded in 1995, with roots dating back to packing haute couture garments for clients I've worked with since 1854.

Bags have been part of our Maison's history since the late 1890s. The first were leather bags that could be folded up and stored in trunks as travel companions or for when your luggage grew heavier. Discover how these iconic shapes continue to inspire through the ages. This wall showcases iconic bags, each model, tracing a journey from the present to the past. In this world of bag stories, you'll encounter the Monogram canvas Flat Trunk, created in 1906. See the Keepall, Speedy, Steamer, and Alma—reinterpreted in collaboration with artists—reflecting Louis Vuitton's values.

The iconic monogram was born in 1896. Designed by Georges Vuitton as a tribute to his father, Louis Vuitton, the monogram has since become one of Louis Vuitton's most recognizable codes, repeatedly reinterpreted by numerous creators, primarily under the House's artistic directors.
